2019 was Interior Design Best of Year Awards' first introduction of the sustainable design category. We were honored to have been selected as the first winners for this very special prize.
Since ERNEST started almost 20 years ago, our focus has always been on the durability of the brands and products we represent.
Given recent events inside and outside the company, we want to do more for the planet in 2020. Each month, we will focus on a topic showing our contribution to a greener environment: 1. INTRODUCE UPCYCLED FURNITURE
2. PROMOTE DURABLE PRODUCTS
3. USE ALTERNATIVE ENERGIES
4. CREATE HEALTHY SPACES
5. COMPENSATE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
Eco-OH! : From yoghurt containers to a sustainable seating concept
The H-bench is manufactured from recycled household plastic waste (yoghurt cups, butter tubs, plastic bags,...) and can be completely recycled again.
In partnership with Eco-Oh!, we reduce the mountains of plastic waste and offer a sustainable alternative to incineration.

Houe : Turning Trash into Treasure
HOUE is a Danish design house founded in 2007. They combine great comfort and design in their work. Therefore, they always put a lot of effort into their product development striving to meet a high standard of craftsmanship.
The FALK chair is made from post-consumer plastic - recycled directly from household waste! The lightweight frame and the organic lines of the seat result in a chair with personality and a silhouette that almost seems to float.
Design, comfort, quality and classic appearance make FALK equally suitable at home or at work.
